Big Day Out !

Do you want your kid to give basketball a go, but don’t know where to start? These October School Holidays, KO Academy brings your our first ever Big Day Out. On October 9th, your child will have a chance to get started in basketball, learn the rules in a fun, risk-free environment, make new friends and have fun!
Why the Big Day Out?
We created the Big Day Out for anyone who is either brand new to basketball or still learning the basics, to help them learn in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment.
Our goal is that everyone who attends is able to walk away from the Big Day Out with a foundational knowledge of the rules of basketball, and a clear direction for their next steps!

There’s no need to pack anything - so long as there are shoes on your kid’s feet, we’ll take care of everything. From basketballs, to snacks, to lunch + a T-Shirt and everything in between.

Throughout the day, we will give all the kids the opportunity to learn the following personal skills: communication, teamwork, decision making under pressure, adaptability.
In addition to basketball skills of like ball handling, shooting, passing, through 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games designed to effectively teach everyone who attends the basic rules of basketball.
