Why KO Academy?
KO Basketball Academy is a professional coaching business built on real experience. I'm Oisin Du, and together with my coaching staff, we bring Basketball NSW accreditation, private school coaching backgrounds, and representative-level experience, giving every athlete access to the same standard of coaching that elite programs demand.
Every session is carefully designed to develop superior basketball skills through structured, evidence-based training, while building the values of discipline, integrity, and resilience that carry athletes beyond the court.
We combine personalised coaching with innovative drills that challenge both mind and body, creating an environment where every young player is pushed to grow — and supported every step of the way.

Does KO Academy have club basketball teams?
Yes. We are registered with the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Basketball Association, competing in Season 1 (Terms 1 & 2) and Season 2 (Terms 3 & 4) each school year — from Year 3–4 all the way up to Under 21 Men's open competition.
Team training is held weekly at local indoor and outdoor venues. Consistency is everything, we expect all players to show up weekly and put in the hard work that doesn't always show up on the scoreboard.
What other activities does KO Academy offer?
Interstate & Representative Competitions KO Academy offers elite competition experiences including Australia events in Melbourne, Brisbane and Port Macquarie, Easter Classics in Adelaide and Melbourne, and the Nunawading competition over the King's Birthday long weekend. These programs require trials and team selection. Selected players will receive custom KO Basketball Select gear — bags, playing attire, and off-court merch — before departure.
Holiday 3x3 Tournaments During school holidays, KO Academy runs local 3x3 tournament opportunities. Players can sign up through the KO Community WhatsApp group. Every participant receives a free training session one week before the competition to maximise performance on the day.
We also offer the pathway to 3×3 Nationals, hosted in Bendigo, Victoria. Athletes must qualify through local tournaments to earn their spot, making every holiday competition count toward something bigger.
